Charlotte I. Myers

Charlotte I. Myers, 92, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Delmar Gardens of O’Fallon. She was born on January 31, 1930 in Beardstown, Illinois a daughter of the late Carl William and Pearl Droles (Hinschide) Gersmeyer. She was united in marriage to Freddie William Myers, Sr. on August 8, 1966 in Fairview Heights, Illinois and to this union two sons and three daughters were born. Freddie, Sr. preceded her in death on December 21, 2007. Charlotte graduated from Beardstown High School. She worked for Illinois Glove Company Beardstown Illinois as a glove maker. Big Roy’s Chesterfield Missouri as a waitress, Fred’s Towing & Autobody as a Secretary, Dispatcher and Bookkeeper and JR’s Hauling as a Secretary and Bookkeeper. Charlotte enjoyed feeding the birds and working cross word puzzles. She liked caring for her plants and had a special place in her heart for her cats. Charlotte is survived by two sons and two daughters: Paula Troutman and husband Dean of Tuttle, OK, Kathy Mason and husband Steve of Tuttle, OK, Freddie Myers, Jr. and wife Lorie of Moscow Mills, MO and Victor Long; grandchildren: Jeff Mason (Jennifer), Jennifer White (Greg), Mike Mason (Kaci), Jason White, Nathan Troutman (Dina), Andrew Troutman (Kylie), Dena Wittich (Rex), Crystal Lejuene, Brett Wallace (Elizabeth); twenty-four great-grandchildren, one son-in-law, Ron White and many friends. She was preceded in by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Sue White and one brother, Carl (Bud) Joseph Gersmeyer. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Troy Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:15 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2022 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery located at 2900 Sheridan Road St. Louis, MO 63125.
