Bruce Charles Shilharvey

Bruce “Buck” Charles Shilharvey, 67, of Middletown, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri. He was born on August 2, 1958, in Troy, Missouri and was the son of Kenneth and Margaret Ann (Wing) Shilharvey. Bruce was united in marriage to Denise Fox on August 23, 1986, at the Old Alexandria Methodist Church in Troy, Missouri and to this union, one son and one daughter were born. Bruce attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Troy Buchanan in 1977. While in school, he was active in 4-H and FFA. Bruce was a lifetime farmer and worked on the family farm for his entire life. When he was not on a tractor farming, he would help run the dozer for Robert Kerpash and was known for his custom baling. He raised hogs, cattle and chickens for most of his life. Bruce enjoyed going to truck pulls with his truck called “Swinging Buck.” He liked dove and deer hunting and fishing. Bruce always wanting to lend a helping hand, especially to the neighbors in the area. He looked forward to spending time with his family and going on vacation with them to Branson or Lake of the Ozarks. Bruce loved hearing what his children and grandchildren were up to. His gentle smile and helping hands will be missed. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Denise Shilharvey; one son and one daughter: Robert Brody, Jr. and wife Julia and Gena Pritchett and husband Jordan; four grandchildren: Sydney, Jase, Ryan and Cole; two brothers and one sister: Eddie Shilharvey, Dale Shilharvey and wife Donna and JoAnn Lewis and husband Mike; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ken and Margaret Shilharvey; one nephew, Keith Lewis and mother-in-law and father-in-law: Art and Bobby Fox. Family and friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025 at KEMPER_KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO. Officiating the service will be Dennis Cappel.
