Carol Ann Dennison

Carol Ann Dennison, 83, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Aspire Senior Living Jonesburg in Jonesburg, Missouri. She was born on April 4, 1940 in Winfield, Missouri and was the daughter of the late Virgil and Kathleen F. (Overall) Rhoades. Carol was united in marriage to Gary Dennison on June 11, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death on October 11, 2022. Carol worked for Gossard in Troy, Missouri for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending time in her garden. Carol liked selling antiques and jewelry at flea markets and resale shops. Carol was known for her delicious Holiday meals and birthday dinners. She valued the time she spent with her family especially her grandchildren. Carol was a member of the New Fellowship Baptist Church. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with Gary and was always ready to go dancing. Carol’s upbeat, outgoing personality is going to be missed. Carol is survived by her one daughter and one son: Larry Penrod and wife Pearl of Wright City, MO and Terry Dennison and husband Larry of Mexico, MO; one brother and one sister: Sharon Harris and Revo Rhoades; grandchildren: Aimee Newcomb (Jody), Leah Mitchell (Kevin), Gregory Penrod, Cody Dennison, Jesse (Amanda Krosschell), Kelly Taylor (Jason) and Eric Penrod (Amanda); great-grandchildren: Lena Newcomb, Mason Newcomb, Katlynn Mitchell, Owen Mitchell, Sophia Penrod, Grant Penrod, Aiden Smith and Brooke Smith; great-great-grandchildren: Paisley Keene and Harper Smith; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Kathleen Rhoades; her husband. Gary Dennison; her son, Chris Penrod; one brother-in-law, Dwayne Harris and one sister-in-law, Karen Rhoades. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO. Officiating the service will be Pastor Kelly Hardcastle.
