Charles Raymond Schulze Sr.

Charles Raymond Schulze, Sr., 89, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at his residence. He was born on March 25, 1934 on the family farm in Lincoln County, Missouri, and was the son of the late Walter Lee and Annie Schulze. Charles was united in marriage to Martha Joann Sheets on July 19, 1953, at the Methodist Church in Troy, Missouri, and to this union two sons and two daughters were born. As a child his most cherished time was walks with his grandfather. He grew up as the 5th generation to continue the family farming legacy. He later went to work as a real estate agent for Cannon Reality and Century 21 and then an Oats bus driver for 7 years. Charles served on the Board as a Director for 45 years with the Lincoln County COOP. He was a member of the Troy Kiwanis. Charles enjoyed hunting for small game, fishing and eating his wife’s home cooked meals. He loved traveling with his wife, they went on several trips out of the country. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Martha Joann Schulze of Troy, MO; two sons and two daughters: Charles Raymond Schulze, Jr. of Troy, Pat Martin of Troy, MO, Pam Schulze of Troy, MO and Jerry Schulze and wife Beth of Montgomery City, MO; one brother and one sister: Jim Schulze and wife Betty of Troy, MO and Mildred Schulte and husband Gene of Moscow Mills, MO; one sister-in-law, Jackie Schulze of Troy, MO; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, one brother and one sister: Johnny Schulze and Alice Gibson (Lavern); one son-in-law, Gordon Martin and one daughter-in-law, Roberta Schulze. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, Missouri. Interment will be held at Zoar Cemetery.
