Cody Lee Sitton

Cody Lee Sitton, 30, of Allensville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 in Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on April 2, 1992 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of Robert L. Cotton and Lisa M. Sitton, raised by his grandparents, Richard C. and Edna Jean Sitton. Cody graduated from Troy Buchanan High School in 2010. He served his country in the United States Army from June 8, 2010 until he was honorably discharged October 18, 2019. During that time he served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, earning several badges and medals: Sharpshooter Marksmanship Badge, Pistol Bar, Air Assault Badge, Driver and Mechanic Badge and Combat. Cody took pride in serving his country and his specialty was being a Crew Chief, he achieved the rank of Sgt E-5 for helicopters. He was an outdoor enthusiast and his true passions were farming, fishing or hunting for deer or turkey and was always up for a ride on his side by side. He never knew a stranger and loved being with his friends and family. Cody took pride in spoiling his daughter, Katelyn every chance he would get. He was always about helping others in life and that continued even after death, by giving the gift of life. Cody is survived by his daughter, Katelyn Grace Sitton of TN; grandmother, Jean Sitton of Troy, MO; two brothers: Tyler Sitton (Janet) of Kansas and Zaine Sitton (Michelle) of Troy, MO; one nephew, Finley Sitton; his fiancé, Tonya Harris Davis of TN; two step-children: Levi and Terri; aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa M. (Sitton) Fischer, and grandfather, Richard C. Sitton A social gathering will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Indian Camp Creek, Shelter #6 located at 2679 Dietrich Rd, Foristell, MO 63348. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2022 at Loutre Island Cemetery in Case, MO.
