Diana Cohn

Diana Cohn, 64 of Troy, Missouri, passed at De Paul Hospital in St. Louis on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 4:52pm. Diana was able to be with her siblings prior to her passing, for that we are all grateful. Because of the heroic actions of Sandy W. & Jen W., Diana was with her family. Diana began receiving services from Community Opportunities in 1987. In 1990 she moved to 1031 Hackberry and lived in a couple other places in Troy. Last summer she moved back to 1031 Hackberry and remained there until her passing… kind of strange how things work out. Diana enjoyed volunteering for a number of years at the Butterfly House in Chesterfield, accompanied by her good friend, Cyndy Reynolds. Anyone who knew Diana will always remember how she liked to shop, she loved bags, watches and all kinds of pretty things. Another favorite of hers was going to the doctor, most of us dread seeing our doctor.. not Diana. She looked forward to appointments and particularly looked forward to seeing Nurse Tracy for a monthly injection! Diana was a season ticket holder at the Fox Theatre and loved watching those performances. Diana Ruth Cohn was born on February 8, 1956 at St Mary’s Hospital in St Louis. Her parents were Mary & Donald. She had several siblings and her brother, Philip and his wife, Linda, were quite close to her. She spent time with them on or around the holidays and talked with them on the phone. Diana was survived by her four brothers and one sister: Phillip Cohn and wife Linda of Maryville, IL, Chuck Cohn and wife Richalene of Caseyville, IL, Judy Mercer and husband Bill of Richland, MO, Junior Walker and wife Fran and Jimmy Walker; numerous nieces, nephews, one great nephew, aunts and had many friends, but one dear friend, Yvonne, was Diana’s house mate and best friend for 27 years! Please keep in your thoughts Diana’s family, Yvonne and other special friends, Marsha and Cyndy, as well as the support staff from her home and day program. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 18, 2020 at Bonne Terre Cemetery in Bonne Terre, Missouri.
