Donald L. Moellman

Donald L. Moellman, 77, of Troy, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake Saint Louis. He was born on June 2, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late William and Thelma (Shannon) Moellman. Donald was united in marriage to Libby Eisenbath (Shields) on February 19, 1982 in Troy, Missouri. Donald attended grade school at Our Lady of Presentation in St. Louis and Mercy High School also in St. Louis. Following high school, he attended St Benedict College and Washington University. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 until he was honorably discharged in 1969. Donald was in the banking industry for various banks over the years including Boatmans Bank in Troy and Bank of Old Monroe. He later worked for James Mudd Accounting and was owner and operator of Don Moellman Tax and Accounting since 1989. Don enjoyed boating, fishing, sports, including watching the Cardinals and Blues. He was always up for social hour and BBQing with family and friends. Don was a patient, loving man, who truly loved work and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Libby Moellman of Troy, MO; two sons: Dennis J. Moellman and wife Teresa of Kansas City, MO and Scott A. Moellman of Foley, MO; two bonus daughters: Shelly Mueller and husband Toney of Troy, MO and Mandy Flannigan and husband Aaron of Troy, MO; one sister, Barbara Mercer and husband Robert of FL; one brother, Robert Moellman and wife Paula of AZ; two brothers-in-law, John Knieja of IL and Rick Eisenbath and wife Kathy of Troy, MO; grandchildren: Josh Moellman (Harley), Kayla Thompson (Jody), Emily Moellman and Sara Moellman; bonus grandchildren: Helen Orf, June Mueller, Lydia Mueller, Evan Flannigan, Colin Flannigan and Megan Mueller; two great grandchildren: Arthur and Oliver, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Nancy Knieja and one daughter-in-law, Sheila Moellman.
