Donna S. Moxley

Donna S. Moxley, 54, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Progress Hospital West in O’Fallon, Missouri. She was born on September 10, 1960 in Washington, Missouri the daughter of Donald Weinrich and Janet (Preul) Cohea. She was united in marriage to James “Jim” Moxley on January 12, 1980 at the Zion Methodist Church in Truxton, Missouri and to this union two daughters were born. Donna attended grade school in Warren County, graduated from Buchanan High in Troy and continued her education at Kirksville College. She worked various places throughout her lifetime: Montgomery Ward as a Sales Clerk, Witte Bros. as a Permit Clerk, Fletcher Equipment as a bookkeeper, Shade Apart as a Seamstress and Hancock Fabrics as a sales clerk. With a passion for sewing, she also enjoyed quilting and embroidering. Donna loved making crafts, but her favorites were basket weaving and making soap with her grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Stephen United Methodist Church and a quilt club. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Jim Moxley of Troy; her one daughter Danielle Krewson and husband, Thomas of Troy; her mother, Janet Cohea and husband, Jerry of Wentzville; one sister, Beverly Henningfeld of Wentzville; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Alexis Kewson; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Moxley in 2002, her father, Donald Weinrich and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Don and Sara Moxley. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2015 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Home / Troy Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Home / Troy Chapel. Officiating the service will be Rev. Mark Dumas. Interment will be held at Troy City Cemetery.
