Dorothy Marie Himmel

Dorothy Marie Himmel, 78, of Moscow Mills, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in Elsberry, Missouri. She was born on April 27, 1944 in Old Monroe, Missouri the daughter of Robert and Leona (Uthe) Forbeck. Dorothy was united in marriage to Marvin Himmel on May 17, 1963 in Old Monroe, Missouri and to this union two sons and two daughters were born. Dorothy was a wonderful wife and mother, who took pride in caring for her husband and children. She spent many hours working in the family business Marvin Himmel Service Station. Dorothy attended Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills, Missouri. She was an amazing cook and valued the time she spent with her family. Dorothy was a simple woman, who sacrificed a lot for others. She was kind, always giving to others and never complained. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Marvin Himmel of Moscow Mills, MO; two sons and two daughters: David Himmel of Moscow Mills, Barbara Piel and husband Christopher of St. Peters, MO, Donna Tucker and husband Steven of Troy, MO and Michael Himmel of Moscow Mills, MO; her mother, Leona Forbeck of Old Monroe, MO; four brothers and one sister: James Forbeck of Old Monroe, MO, Delmar Forbeck and wife Barbara of Old Monroe, MO, Norma Luck and husband Lyn of Troy, MO, Dennis Forbeck and wife Sharon of Tennessee and Darrell Forbeck and wife Lori of Troy, MO; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Frey (Kevin), Ryan Piel, Ashley Robertson (Steven), Marc Benavidez (Justine), Rose Himmel, Lily Himmel, Ian Himmel and Mina Himmel; five great-grandchildren: Margaret Frey, Jeremy Frey, Lauren Robertson, Wyatt Robertson and Elsie Robertson; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Forbeck. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Friedens United Church of Christ located at 980 Main Street Moscow Mills, MO 63362.
