Douglas "Doug" James Szczuka

Douglas “Doug” James Szczuka, 63, of Hawk Point, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at his residence in Hawk Point, Missouri. He was born on February 18, 1960, in Bellefontaine, Missouri, and was the son of the late Edward A. and Neoma A. Szczuka. Doug was united in marriage to Mechelle “Renee” Kirk on October 18, 2014, in Hawk Point, Missouri and to this union they shared four children. Doug graduated in 1978 and continued his education earning his bachelor’s degree as a Computer Technician. He worked as a computer tech for Sync Payments, Orbit POS and Mid America Cash Register. Doug served his community with the Hawk Point Fire Protection District, since 1999 and he served as the treasurer for many years. He enjoyed trophy deer hunting and fishing. Spending time on Toledo Bend Lake and Mark Twain Lake. Douglas took great pride in keeping his yard freshly trimmed. He loved his family and looked forward to spending time with them. Doug was a great husband, father and grandfather. He was the most giving person you would meet and would do anything for anyone. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Mechelle “Renee” Szczuka of Hawk Point, MO; two sons: Shawn Szczuka and wife Samantha of Foley, MO and Travis Szczuka and wife Courtney of Bland, MO; one bonus daughter, Stephanie Coe and husband Charles of St. Charles, MO; six grandchildren: Amelia, Caroline, Winter, Eleanor, Anthony and Joslyn; two bonus grandchildren: Peyton and Junior; very close friend and cousin, Robert Supinski; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Neoma Szczuka; one bonus daughter, Savannah Hunter and one brother, Stan Szczuka. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349.
