Emily Nicole McNees

Emily Nicole McNees, 17, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 in Troy, Missouri. She was born on February 20, 2005 in St. Louis, Missouri and the daughter of Edward Lawrence McNees, Jr. and Lauren Nicole Hammond. Emily was a cheerleader at the Troy Buchanan High School and graduated in December of 2022. She was enrolled at St. Charles Community College and had future plans of becoming a nurse. Emily worked for Elsberry Health Care Center. She loved shopping and wouldn’t pass up a good deal. Emily valued being with her family and loving on her baby cousins. She had a smile that could light up a room. Emily was very social and enjoyed hanging out with her friends. She was the queen of selfies and had a big heart. Emily was forgiving, strong willed and loving. Emily is survived by her mother, Lauren Hammond of O’Fallon, MO; her father, Eddie McNees, Jr. of Troy, MO; maternal grandparents: Scott Hammond (Christine) of Silex, MO and Kim Hammond (Mark) of Moscow Mills, MO; paternal grandparents: Eddie McNees, Sr. (Lori) of Troy, MO; two brothers: Mikey Bolderson of O’Fallon, MO and Eddie McNees III of Troy, MO; maternal great-grandmother, GG Janet Watkins of Ladue, MO; aunts and uncles: Courtney and Anthony Capizzi, Nick Hammond, Billy and Danielle Magoon, Elias and Molly McNees, Dakota and Nick Stevens and Dylan McNees (Sarah Thomas); cousins: Austin, Max, Lecie, Blake, River, Alaina, Addison; great-aunts, great-uncles, many friends. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, 2023 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church located at 101 St. Stephen Lane Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church located at 101 St. Stephen Lane Troy, MO 63379.
