Geraldine Mary Wray

Geraldine Mary (Buckner) Wray, 75, of Troy, Missouri passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her residence in Troy, Missouri. She was born on March 25, 1945 in Wentzville, Missouri, a daughter of the late Cloyd and Mary Margaret (Ervin) Buckner. Geraldine was united in marriage to Edward “ Kool Papa” Lee Wray on September 7, 1963 in Troy, Missouri. Geraldine graduated from Wentzville High School in 1963. She worked as a CNA for Silex Nursing Home and retired from Troy Manor after 25 years of dedication. Geraldine was a member of the Christian Community Center where she was baptized. She liked playing bingo, dancing and listening to music and working word finds. Geraldine enjoyed shopping, going to dinner with her sisters and her favorite beverages. Family was her top priority in life and always loved spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving children: Edward Lee Wray, Jr. of Columbia, MO, Darlene Denise Morgan (Darrin Darell) of Troy, MO, Marcus Dewayne Wray of Wentzville, MO and Barbara Ann Bogan (Willie James) of Columbia, MO; grandchildren: Delango, Tiane, Devon, Dominic, Tyson, Roary, Deandrew, Bella, Andrea and Jaida; sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two sisters: Marilyn Cockrell and Marceline Blair (Dennis); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Marjorie, Teresa, Arlene, Annette and Joseph Walker, Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wray “Kool Papa” Sr., parents, infant son, Paul Anthony, two granddaughters: Tyra Chatman and LaToya Greene; one brother, Claude Buckner, Jr, mother-in-law, Hazel Mae Wray and father-in-law, Joseph Walker, Sr. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Christian Community Center of Troy located at 510 S Lincoln Drive Troy, MO 63379.
