Henry Pearl Spires

Henry Pearl Spires, 74 of Truxton, Missouri, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born on November 9, 1948 in Truxton, Missouri and was the son of the late Alva L. and Mary (Wheeler) Spires. Henry was united in marriage to Bonnie Elizabeth Bogel on November 23, 1968 in Jonesburg, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Henry graduated from Montgomery High School. He worked as a laborer for US Display and retired from Binkley Corporation. Together Bonnie and Henry owned and operated Our House Auction in Truxton, Missouri. He was a member of the Hawk Point Lions Club. Henry always had the best jokes and was full of life. He looked forward to his annual fishing trips, even though we all know fishing was not his strongest hobby. Henry valued the time he spent with his family. He enjoyed spending countless hours at the auction house and socializing with friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Bonnie Spires of Truxton, MO; children: Steven Spires (Steven Olds-Spires) of Troy, MO, Dawn Hunter (Charles “Royce” Hunter II) of Truxton, MO, Amanda Viers (Tony) of Truxton, MO, Eric Spires (Melanie) of Hawk Point, MO and Taylor Musser of PA; three siblings: Carrie Sivils (Ivan) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Tom Surls (Edna) of Warrenton, MO and Alva Spires Montgomery City, MO; one sister-in-law, Judy Cunningham; grandchildren: Elizabeth Miederhoff (Justin), Charles Hunter III (McKenna), Tyler Olds, Joshua Olds, Jodie Viers (Zac), Nicholas Viers, Ethan Viers, Cameron Wheeler (Kelsey), Brenden Wheeler (Jordan), Taelor Winberry and Hannah Spires; and four great-grandchildren: James, Emilee, Lincoln and another on the way, Hazel Grace; nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, George Surls; one sister-in-law, Linda Spires and one brother-in-law, John Cunningham. Family and friends will be received 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Hawk Point, MO. Interment will be held at the Bogel Cemetery in Truxton, Missouri.
