Janet Ruth Kasishke

Janet Ruth Kasishke, 83, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Lewis and Clark Garden in St. Charles, Missouri. She was born on July 13, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Weber) Pavlick. She was united in marriage to Albert H. Kasishke, Jr. on April 28, 1956. Janet attended Taft High School in Chicago, Il where she was valedictorian of her class and she continued her education at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She worked as a Nurse at Saint John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK. She was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tulsa, OK and alumnus of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Janet was a faithful office volunteer, she assembled bulletins and newsletters each week. She sang in the adult choir and Christmas Messiah and played the hand bells. She often sang some lovely duets at church. In earlier years, she was a permanent fixture in the church kitchen cranking out meals on a weekly basis. Her dishes were always excellent and very tasty. She collected soda fountain and strawberry items and antiques. Janet enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Albert H. Kasishke, Jr. of Tulsa, OK; three sons: Albert H. Kasishke III (Bonnie) of Troy, MO, Paul R. Kasishke (Paula) of Broken Arrow, OK and David W. Kasishke (Paula) of Tulsa, OK; one brother, Bill Pavlick and wife Nancy of Yorkville, IL; grandchildren: Paul Robert Kasishke (Jamie), Albert H. Kasishke IV, Courtney Bockhorst (Aaron), William Kasishke (Jessica) and Emma Kasishke; two great-grandchildren: Ave Mae Bockhorst and Paul Robert “Trip” Kasishke III, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 2331 E 5th Pl, Tulsa, OK 74104.
