Jay Daniel Rogers

Jay Daniel Rogers, 73, of Troy, Missouri passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family in Troy, Missouri. Jay was born on October 7, 1946 in White Hall, Illinois a son of Thomas Raymond and Anna Lee (Derringer) Rogers. He was united in marriage to Peggy Sue Roger and they spent over 40 years together. Jay graduated from St. Charles High School in 1964, growing up he was a member of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He owned and operated OPM on Main Street and Countryside Mustang in Troy and later retired from Bodine. Jay founded the Show Me Mustang Club and it is still going today. He was a member of the Kustoms of America, Kustom Kemps of America, International Mercury Association, Galaxy Club of America in IL and Mercury Club. He has won several trophies, from car shows over the years and was an avid collector of die cast cars. He is survived by his loving wife Peggy Rogers of Troy, MO; four sons and one daughter: Raymond Rogers, Brian Adkins (Sandy) of Troy, MO, Kevin Adkins (Krystal) of O’Fallon, MO, Darren Adkins (Susanne) of Warrenton, MO and Shelly Rogers of Troy, MO; siblings: Jerry Lee Rogers (Denise) and Jimmy Rogers; one brother-in-law, Jeff Albright (Jocelyn Ann Albright); grandchildren: Katie Adkins (Zack Chidster), Chad Adkins (Ashley), Bobby Jo Kiderlen (Morgan King), Dustin Adkins, Samuel Horne, Zachary Adkins, Jake Adkins (Sarah), Brianna Rogers (Dominick Upton), Emily Welch, Hannah Welch and Amanda Kloeber; six great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Cindy Kloeber, siblings: Judy Irene Rogers, Jacalyn Faye Carter and June Rogers and one grandson, Robbie Mason. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, at KEMPER-MLLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO. Interment will be held at the Troy City Cemetery.
