John Marvin Mills

John Marvin Mills, 81, of Truxton, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born on October 2, 1938 in Jefferson City, Missouri and the son of the Carl and Pansy (Inglish) Mills. John was united in marriage to Linda Lea Maharg on July 27, 1958 in Latham, Missouri at the family homestead and to this union two daughters and one son were born: Melissa, Mark and Melynn. John graduated from Green Grove Grade School in Latham, Missouri and attended Jefferson City High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1960. John retired after 30 years from McDonnell Douglas, owned various businesses and served on the Truxton Board. John enjoyed sharing memories of hunting trips out west. He was always up for a road trip with his family and especially his dog Joy. He is survived by two daughters and one son: Melissa Moran and husband Mitch of Wentzville, MO, Mark Mills and wife Bonnie of Troy, MO and Melynn Bernard and husband Davis of O’Fallon, MO; one brother, Jim Mills and wife Kay of Fortuna, MO; three grandchildren: Matthew Moran and wife Charlotte, Joshua Mills, Brittany Mills and husband Lance LaRose; seven great-grandchildren: Maverick, Adaleⸯ, Ronan, MyahLynn, Lukas, Olivia and Alice; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters: June, Jean, Sara, Carl and William. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349.
