Judith Ann Finley

Judith Ann Finley, 81, of Hawk Point, Missouri, was Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on December 8, 1942 in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri and was the daughter of the late John Alosius and Marium Louise (Goltermann) Strunk. Judith was united in marriage to Andrew Jacob Finley on June 22, 1963 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri and to this union three sons and one daughter were born. Andrew preceded her in death on September 2, 2007. Judith graduated high school and earned an associate degree in education. She taught for the Sacred Heart Catholic School from 1974 until she retired in 1997. Judith and her husband owned and operated Mr. D’s Pizza in Troy for many years. She was an active member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawk Point. In her earlier years she liked playing Bingo, camping, swimming, and spending time in her vegetable garden. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and talking about politics. Even though she was stubborn and opinionated at times, she would always stand up for the underdog. She was very intelligent and known for her sarcasm. She loved her family with all she had, and she held a special place in her heart for her students. Judith is survived by her three sons and one daughter: Drew Finley and wife Angie of Troy, MO, Sean Finley and wife Tammy of Wentzville, MO, Cameron Finley and wife Michelle of Troy, MO and Heather Rose of Troy, MO; siblings: Barbara, Alice, JonE, Mike, Diana, Warren, Terry, Marsha and Susan; nine grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler, Maggie, Jacob, Hannah, Zachary, Kyle, Cullen and Matthew; five great-grandchildren: Marisha, Andrew, Paige, Cameron and Jaden; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: John A. and Marium Strunk, her husband Andrew J. Finley; one brother, Mark and one sister, Mary Jean. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 458 Main Street Hawk Point, MO 63349.
