Judith "Judy" Ann Brittain

Judith “Judy” Ann Brittain, 78, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born on November 24, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri and the daughter of Beeason and Elda (Grothman) Schneider. She was united in marriage to Troy Brittain on December 30, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two daughters were born. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2013. Judy graduated from Deaconess Nursing School. She worked as a NICU nurse for 50 years at Christian Northwest Hospital/ Missouri Baptist. Judy participated and contributed to the Lincoln County Relay for Life. She enjoyed shell hunting on the Florida beaches and soaking up some sun. Judy never passed up a shopping trip. She liked cross stitching and crocheting baby hats. Judy spent a lot of time mowing with her zero-turn lawn mower. She spoiled her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren every chance she would get, especially the time they spent swimming. Judy was a strong, independent woman, who was always checking in on the ones she loved. She is survived by two daughters: Susan Link and husband Tim of Hawk Point, MO and Cheryl Hamilton and husband Mike of Silex, MO; one sister, Barbara “Bo” Jean Maycock; grandchildren: Cheyenne Bendell (Michael), Breanne Jackson (Brandon), Brittney Hamilton (Trenton Turner), Casey Link (Austin Rettke) and Jonathan Hamilton; five great-grandchildren: Karlie Hamilton, Carter Lindsey, Kennedy Bendell, Grant Turner and Olivia Bendell; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Baby Susan. Family and friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel in Hawk Point, MO. Interment will be held at a later date at Hawk Point City Cemetery in Hawk Point, Missouri.
