Karen Diane Holmes

Karen Diane Holmes, 44 of Truxton, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at her residence in Truxton, Missouri. She was born on July 21, 1977 in Troy, Missouri and the daughter of Robert, Sr. and Diane (Duff) Ingram. Karen was united in marriage to Andrew Holmes on December 6, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Karen graduated from Buchanan High in 1995. She worked for Warrenton Oil for 10 years and was a homemaker, who was always lending a helping hand on the family farm. She was a lifetime member of the Hawk Point Ladies Auxiliary and President of the “Bad Moms Club.” Karen liked to deer hunt, dove hunt and fish. She had an eye for finding mushrooms and four leaf clovers. She was very competitive, especially when it came to shooting claybirds. Karen was always up for an adventure with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing poker, rummy, slow pitch softball, washers and socializing with friends. Karen never met a stranger and if you were, it wasn’t for long. She had a distinctive voice, always said what was on her mind and always had a smile on her face. Karen lived for her family, especially her husband and children. Karen is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Andrew Holmes of Truxton, MO; one son and three daughters: Mark Dickmeyer (Kate Thornton) of Hawk Point, MO, Kileigh Holmes of Troy, MO, Alyssa Holmes of Truxton, MO and Alyvia Holmes of Truxton, MO; mother, Diane Ingram of Hawk Point, MO; two brothers: Robert “Robbie” Ingram, Jr. of Hawk Point, MO and Rickie Ingram (Amanda) of Hawk Point, MO; father-in-law, David Holmes of Truxton, MO; aunt and uncles: Sandy Reininger (Joe) and Bobby Duff; niece and nephew: Easton and Ellyie; aunt, uncle, cousins and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ingram, Sr., one sister, Gail Duff, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents and one uncle, George Duff. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at KEMPER- KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349.
