Kenneth Howard McDonald Sr.

Kenneth Howard McDonald, Sr., 88, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. He was born on June 4, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late Harold and Veronica (Wiget) McDonald. Kenneth graduated from High School in 1952. He worked in various aspects of sales, from which he retired. Kenneth was top in sales for several large corporations, including Mutual of Omaha Life Insurance and Zenith. In his earlier years he was a boxer with Golden Gloves and enjoyed fishing. Kenneth was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Illinois. He had the best sense of humor and could tell the best jokes. Kenneth was always up for playing checkers with the grandkids and would not pass up a milk shake. Kenneth is survived by his eleven children: Kenneth Howard McDonald, Jr., Michael McDonald and wife Marie, Rosemary Farr and husband John, Pam Byington and husband Glenn, Sandra Moesch and husband Rick, Sharon Warren and husband Joe, Brenda McDonnell and husband Paul, Patrick McDonald and wife Laura, Cherie Helmkamp and husband Roy and Chaun Mikuleza and wife Jacki and Kelly Ostrowski and husband Kevin; spouse, Carolyn McDonald of Palmyra, IL; one brother, Terry McDonald and wife Linda; forty-one grandchildren, sixty-nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold McDonald (Louise), two daughters, Debra Mudd and Veronica Hamlyn, one great-grandchild and one daughter-in-law, Julie McDonald.
