Mackenzie Ann Johnson

Mackenzie Ann Johnson, 22, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at SSM Cardinal Glennon in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on January 3, 2001, in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of Edgar Victor and Jodi Renee (Almus) Johnson. Mackenzie attended Clarence Cannon Elementary School and graduated from Elsberry High School in 2019. She continued her education at St. Charles Community College with an associate degree in human services and furthering her education on a bachelor’s degree. With Mackenzie having a love for kids, she was always helping anyway she could and was known for watching any and all of them. She was a bus paraprofessional and a special education paraprofessional for the Lincoln County R-III School District. Mackenzie had a love for everything, especially snacks and shoes. She took pride in supporting the youth ball games and High School events. You would often see Mackenzie working the firework stand in Troy during the summer. She had a heart of gold, of course did not know a stranger and was a friend to many big or small. Her bold, snarky, full of life personality is going to be missed by those that knew and loved her. Mackenzie is survived by her mother and father: Edgar V. and Jodi R. Johnson of Troy, MO; two brothers and one sister: Emily Johnson of Troy, MO, Nick Johnson of Kansas City, MO and Michael Johnson of Florissant, MO; she loved being TT to: Zane, Lyla, Elle, Zakk and Kristin; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Shirley Almus and John Almus; paternal grandparents: Judith Johnson and Edgar Johnson; uncles: Scott Almus, Mark Almus and Brad Almus and two cousins: Jamie Dudley and Jason Dudley. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the Trinity Lutheran Church located at 1307 Boone Street Troy, MO 63379. An additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Troy, MO. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Troy, Missouri. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jeremy Klaustermeier. Interment will be held at the Elsberry Cemetery in Elsberry, Missouri.
