Mary Catherine Hannibal

Mary Catherine Hannibal, 73, of Hawk Point, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on June 9, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, and was the daughter of William and Della (Doud) Brooks. Mary was united in marriage to Thomas Hannibal on May 22, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Thomas preceded her in death on January 25, 2019. Mary attended St. Pius grade school and graduated from Rosary High School. She retired as a beautician with 50 years of dedication. Mary was an avid reader and would read anything she could get her hands on. She was an amazing cook, who was known for her homemade rolls and baked goods. Her family was her world and valued the time she spent with them. Mary looked forward to family game nights and Sunday night dinners around the kitchen table. She had a strong faith in God and was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Hawk Point, MO. Mary was the biggest cheerleader for all of her grandchildren’s sporting and school events. She was outgoing, sweet and often stubborn at times. Mary was a lifelong friend to many and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Mary is survived by her two daughters and two sons: Kerry Hannibal of Warrenton, Colleen Hannibal-Gholson and husband Les of Hawk Point, MO, Tom Hannibal of Winfield, MO and Jason Hannibal of Lake Saint Louis, MO; two brothers and one sister: Tom Brooks and wife Kat, Mike Brooks and wife Diane and Chris Stacy and husband Ken; grandchildren: Amber, Nick, Dylan, Dominic, Christian, Sophia, Stephen, Zachary, Brandon, Amanda and Samantha; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter-in-law, Tara Hannibal, one granddaughter, Kimberly Aubuchon. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 458 Main Street Hawk Point MO 63349.
