Nellie Katherine Richardson

Nellie Katherine Richardson, 80, of Troy, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at her residence, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born on August 15, 1940 in Swifton, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Robert and Lillie (French) Campbell. Nellie Katherine Richardson was united in marriage to Truman Richardson on January 5, 1957 in Mississippi and to this union three sons were born. Nellie attended Gideon High School. She worked for Herleo Box Factory for many years. Nellie was an amazing cook and her family never went without a meal. She valued the time spent with her family the most. Nellie was at every birth of her grandchildren and enjoyed babysitting them over the years. Truman and Nellie were very active in their family’s life, going to every activity for their children and grandchildren and they never missed a ballgame. Nellie liked listening and dancing to Elvis, fishing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Truman Richardson of Troy, MO; three sons: Von Richardson and wife Mary of Troy, MO, Don Richardson and wife Carla of Troy, MO and Randy Richardson and wife Kay of Troy, MO; siblings: Kathy Budnick (Dan) of Paragould, AR; Carol Vaughn (Randy) of Campbell, MO, Ronnie Campbell (Liana) of Chesterfield, VA, Robert Campbell of Sidell, LA, Tony Campbell (Vicki) of Clarkton, MO, Ricky Campbell (Lynn) of Clarkton, MO and Kim Campbell (Gayla) of Kennett, MO; grandchildren: Amy Richardson, Justin Richardson (Sara), Natalie Schroeder (Mike), Randall Richardson, Meghan Hopkins (Seth), Michelle Harke (Kurt), Whitney Livingston (Tim) and Jenny Richardson; twelve great-grandchildren and another on the way; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gerry Campbell and one sister-in-law, Yvonne Campbell. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Troy Chapel. Interment will be held at the Troy City Cemetery in Troy, MO.
