Patricia Marie Morse

Patricia Marie Morse, 72, of Elsberry, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022 in Elsberry, Missouri. She was born on January 24, 1950 in St. Louis, the daughter of Daniel “Smokey” Raymond and Marie (Whitman) Somers. Pat was united in marriage to Roy Lee Morse on May 3, 1969 at Frieden’s United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills, Missouri and to this union two daughters and two sons were born. She graduated from Buchanan High in 1968 and she continued her education earning an associate’s degree in nursing and a bachelor’s degree in education. Pat worked as an LPN for over 20 years at the Macon Health Care Center. Together Pat and Roy purchased their first farm in 1969 and raised their family in Lincoln County. She was a member of the NRA and the Friedens United Church of Christ in Moscow Mills. With over 15 years as a 4-H leader, she loved supporting the youth at the local fair. Pat was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan, who would attend as many games as she could with her family. Her favorite trip was in 2020 to Jupiter, FL to attend the St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training. She was lucky enough to cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs surrounded by her family. Pat was reading every chance she would get, even if she would read the same book over and over. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren with their accomplishments. Pat attended many school and sporting events for her grandchildren. Her spunky personality and big heart are going to be missed. She is survived by her two daughters and one son: DeeDee Lynn Martin (Shane) of Eolia, MO, Shadrach Daniel Morse (Mindy) of Winfield, MO and Kirsty Marie Gamble (Michael) of Silex, MO; brother and sister: Joyce Jordon of Troy, MO and Mike Raymond Somers (Karen) of Troy, MO; brother-in-law, Dennis Morse and wife Sue of Trenton, MO; grandchildren: Shaylen Bailey (Micah), Kyle Martin, Lucas Martin, Danika Martin, Brendon Morse (Becca), Lillian Gamble, Liam Gamble, Breanna Gamble, Colin Morse, Avah Morse, Michael Somers, Jr. Daniel Somers and Alex Somers; several great-grandchildren including: Tristan Bailey, Cooper Morse, Emmberson Somers; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roy Lee Morse one son, Michael Lee Somers, Sr and one brother-in-law, Harold Jordon. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Silex Assembly of God located at 1154 Hwy E Silex, MO 63377. Interment will be held at the Friedens Cemetery in Moscow Mills, MO.
