Patricia "Patty" Ellen Pikey

Patricia “Patty” Ellen Pikey, 63, of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on March 17, 1963, in Troy, Missouri and was the daughter of the late Rudolph “Rudy” Vincent and Clara Marie (Kientzy) Kunza. Patty was married to the love of her life on August 14, 1982, at the Zion UCC in Troy, Missouri, and together they had two sons. Patty was born and raised in Lincoln County, and she graduated as the valedictorian from Troy Buchanan High School in 1981. She continued her education by obtaining a degree as a Dental Lab Technician at SIU Carbondale. Patty was a multi-tasking domestic engineer, and she took great pride in caring for her family and especially her parents. Over the last 20 years, she was a caregiver to her parents along with her other sisters. Patty was the glue that held the family together. She was always there when you needed her and would lend a helping hand at any time. She hosted holidays and family functions for years. Patty was a caring and loving woman who volunteered her time with various places, including LOCCA. Patty liked to play a good game of spades around the kitchen table or any other card game. She also loved playing softball, pickleball, and board games or any game. Patty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She would do anything in the world for her grandchildren, and they looked forward to the time they spent with her on the farm. Patty was a fierce advocate and defender for her family and close friends. With a love for math, she found it natural to become a math tutor for many kids over the years. Richard said Patty was his better half and would always lead by example. Patty is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard “Rich” Pikey of Lake Saint Louis, MO; two sons: Robert Allan Pikey and wife Sheri, and Bradley Allan Pikey and wife Stephanie; six grandchildren: Ellie, Ethan, Emmie, Vanderlei, Noah and Isla; nine sisters and one bother: Janet Schieffer (the late Ron Schieffer), Carolyn McHardy (Bryson), JoAnn Kunza (Harold Schulte), Evelyn Cummins (Coy), Donna Walton (Michael), Mary Sue Callison (Robert “Bob”), Phyllis Murphy (Jim), Jeanne Hart (Doug), James Kunza (Genedine), Chris Kunza Mennemeyer (Kelly Hardcastle), one special niece, Natalie Jane Pikey; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph “Rudy” Vincent and Clara Marie Kunza, one brother-in-law, Ron Schieffer, one niece, Rachel Callison, and her grandparents. Family and friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 1404 S. Henke Road, Lake Saint Louis, MO 63367. An additional visitation will be held from 9:30 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lake Saint Louis, MO. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lake Saint Louis, MO. Interment will be held at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Millwood, MO.
