Porter Wilson Norton

Porter Wilson Norton, 85, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Troy Manor in Troy, Missouri. He was born on July 8, 1937 in St. Louis, Missouri and was the son of William R. and Nell Virgina (Wilson) Norton. Porter was united in marriage to Bea Jones on December 11, 1991 at the Baptist Church in Troy, Missouri. Porter graduated from Buchanan High in 1955. He served his country in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. Porter retired as an Engineer and Surveyor for a Paving Company with over 30 years of dedication. He owned and operated several businesses with Carl Davis over the years. Porter was a car enthusiast who owned several old cars, but he really loved his 1963 Corvette. He liked entering his cars in car shows and had a rather large collection of model cars. Porter was always there to give advice to others and he took amazing care of his mother. He valued the time he spent with his wife and family, especially the trips they made driving across the United States. Porter was a loyal friend to many and loved being around his family and friends. Porter is survived by his wife, Bea Norton of Troy, MO; one daughter, Terry Conwell and husband Jeff of Oceanside, CA; three step-daughters: Donna Soto of Troy, MO, Tammy Castro of Henderson, NV and Lisa Bellamy of Henderson, NV; grandchildren: Ian Conwell, Dustin Conwell, Jessica Schibursky, India Lang, Rachel Castro, Veronica Cruz and Jonathan Baerg, many great-grandchildren and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nell Norton. Family and friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO.
