Shirley Jean Arthur

Shirley Jean Arthur, 78, of Troy, Missouri, passed on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born on February 29, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri and the daughter of the late Bernie David and Doris Loraine Tucker. She was united in marriage to Ronald Gene Arthur on July 26, 1963 in St. Charles, Missouri and to this union three daughters were born. Shirley graduated High School from Soldan High School. She worked at Hostess Bakery and later in life was a homemaker. Shirley enjoyed baking, watching wrestling and listening to country music. She took great pride in caring for her plants and flower garden. Shirley enjoyed playing games with her family and friends, especially backgammon, Yahtzee and cards. She liked trying her luck by playing scratch off tickets and video poker. Shirley loved the time she spent with her family at BBQ’s, camping and going to the beach. She is survived by her two daughters: Donna Wildhaber and husband Pete of St. Charles, MO and Sheila Coleman and husband John of Truxton, MO; nine grandchildren: John Coleman, Ryan Coleman, Pete Wildhaber, Jr., Stephanie Presswood, Alan Melancon, Jr., Danielle Griffith, Shannon Coleman, Ron Cowen and Halie Wildhaber; nineteen great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: David Tucker (Amy), Connie Tucker, Patty Forrest (Jimmy), Debbie Gish (Alan), Clifford Tucker (Tina), Rodger Tucker (Sherry), Joyce Hayes, Jerry Tucker, Richard Tucker (Sharon), Carolyn Corbo (Nick) and Jimmy Tucker; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ronald Gene Arthur, her daughter, JoAnne Cowen and husband Kevin, one brother and two sisters: Dennis Tucker, Mary Hubert and Glenna Hampton.
