Steven Tarver Tucker, a devoted husband, a proud father, and a respected member of his community, peacefully departed from this world on July 8, 2023. Born on January 2, 1963, in Holland, Missouri, Steven's journey began under the loving care of his mother, Gladine Tucker. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his passing, alongside the mournful loss of his mother, stepfather, Ted Weddington, brother, Christopher Tucker, uncle, Rodney Lahue, and other cherished family members. On May 1, 2000, Steven joined in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Donna Tucker. Their union brought immeasurable joy and lasting happiness to each other's lives. Together, they faced life's triumphs and tribulations with unwavering love and support. Steven's devotion to his wife was evident in the countless moments they shared, cherishing each other's company and creating memories that will forever be treasured. Steven was an exceptional father figure, not only to his son, Steven Tucker II, but also to his stepchildren: Emily Gluab, Heather Bass, Ashley Robertson, and Marc Benavidez. He cherished and embraced the opportunity to guide and nurture them throughout their lives. His affection for his grandchildren, numbering ten, knew no bounds, as he delighted in showering them with love, wisdom, and the occasional playful mischief. Steven took great pride in his military service, dedicating nearly four decades of his life to his country. With unwavering dedication and a strong sense of duty, he donned the uniform of a proud soldier. His immense commitment led him through the trials of military life, completing his tour of duty with honor and distinction. Steven's love for his country extended beyond his military service as he committed himself to a new chapter in service as a deputy marshal at the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department. His steadfast sense of justice, unwavering courage, and selfless devotion to protecting his community left an indelible mark on the lives of those he served alongside. Educated at Hayti High School, Steven laid the foundation for a future filled with success and commitment to his community. Among his many accomplishments, his accomplishments as a deputy marshal brought him immense pride and fulfillment. Outside of his professional life, Steven had a zest for adventure and loved the freedom of the open road. Riding motorcycles brought him a sense of exhilaration and tranquility that he eagerly shared with those closest to him, particularly his beloved wife, Donna. In addition to his wife and children, Steven is survived by three cherished sisters, Cynthia Ferrell, Naomi Lee Cagle, and Judy Palmer. His love for family extended to his extended relatives, friends, and colleagues - all of whom will forever remember him as a man of honor, kindness, and inspiration. Services will be held private for family, friends and law enforcement at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel. Private service will be held Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery located at 2900 Sherdian Road St. Louis, Missouri 63125.
