Vernon Theodore Tipp

Vernon Theodore Tipp, 94, of Warrenton, Missouri, passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his residence in Warrenton, Missouri. He was born on July 28, 1926 in Florissant, Missouri, the son of the late Henry Gerhard and Mary Beatrice (Laramie) Tipp. Vernon was united in marriage to Luella Marie Knaust on November 29, 1958 at the Assumption Catholic Church in O’Fallon, Missouri and she preceded him in death on December 9, 2006. Vernon attended the Sacred Heart Catholic School in Florissant, Missouri and St. Francis in Portage Des Sioux. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Navy from December 30, 1944 until he was honorably discharged on August 17, 1946. Vernon was a lifelong farmer, raising crops, cattle, pigs, and chickens. He retired in 1988 from Binkley Co. where he worked as a punch press operator. Vernon started his travels during his naval service in WWII which took him nearly around the world. He and Luella gave their children priceless memories on trips across the country. He is survived by three sons and two daughters: Dianne M. Gardner (Richard) of Paynesville, MO, Robert V. Tipp of Warrenton, MO, Vernon H. Tipp (Emily Greer) of O’Fallon, MO, Norman J. Tipp (Cheryl Rodabaugh) of O’Fallon, MO and Joanne M. Busch (Kenneth) of Flower Mound, TX; one sister, Loretta Loeffler (Henry) of St. Charles, MO; grandchildren: Jeremiah Tipp, Brandon Gardner (Katie), Dustin Tipp (Alicia), Daniel Tipp, Ashley Cockrill (Daniel), Theodore Tipp, Alexandra Busch, Madeline Busch, Dawn Greer (John Clark), Krysten Greer; Gage Tipp, Liam Tipp, Addison Tipp, Mia Tipp, Jackson Tipp, Noah Cockrill, Mason Cockrill, Luella Cockrill, Phoenix Gardner, Rylee Gardner, Tinslee, Gardner, Lane Joseph Gardner, Caleb Clark, Ava Clark and Jaxon Clark; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Beatrice Tipp, wife, Luella M. Tipp and brothers: George B. Tipp (Tazuko Shimada) Tipp and Henry E. Tipp. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at KEMPER- KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2021 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church located at 458 Main Street Hawk Point, MO 63349.
