William "Bill" Edward Thomas

William “Bill” Edward Thomas, 83, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at his residence in Troy, Missouri. He was born on February 28, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri and was the son of the late William E. and Mary Amelia (Ford) Thomas. Bill was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Schuler on April 16, 1993, in Overland, Missouri and to this union they shared two sons and one daughter. Bill graduated high school and served his country in the United States Navy from May 31, 1960 until he was honorably discharged on January 22, 1964. He retired as a painter with Hussmann Refrigeration with over 48 years of dedication. In his earlier years, he was a member of the Moose Lodge #1513. He looked forward to meeting the retiree groups on Thursdays. Bill loved spending time at the lake property. He liked spending time around a bonfire with a cold drink in his hand, surrounded by his family and close friends. Bill’s favorite show to watch on T.V. was the old western movies with John Wayne. His favorite time of year was when he would attend the St. Patrick's Day Parades. Bill was thankful for the memories he made with his wife and his family. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Patricia Thomas of Troy, MO; two sons and one daughter: Jimmy Spence (Cathy), Chrissy King (Ron) and Tim Looney (Talisa); grandchildren: Justin, Alicia, Jakob, Brenden, Blake, Nick, Faith and Kiersten; two great-grandchildren: Matthew and Charolette; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Mary Ann, Bobby, Shirley, and Greg, one granddaughter, Jennifer, nephews, Little Greg, Tom, and Tim, and nieces, Mary Ann and Laura. Services are pending with KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Interment will be held with full military honors at Jefferson Barrack National Cemetery located at 2900 Sheridan Road St. Louis, MO 63125.
