Yvonne Collins

Yvonne Lee Collins, 80, of Truxton, Missouri entered eternal life on, June 29, 2016 at the Mercy Lincoln Hospital in Troy. She was born July 11, 1935 in Rolla and was the daughter of the late Albert and Pearl M. (Brown) Leonard. She was united in marriage to Francis “Frank” Ira Collins on June 18, 1955 at the Lafayette Park Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2011. To this union six children were born. Yvonne graduated high school in Rolla, worked as a switch board operator for Bell and later became a homemaker. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Truxton, The Zion United Methodist Church Woman’s Club, Moto Guzzi National Owners Club and Retreads Motorcycle Club. Yvonne enjoyed putting together puzzles, working crossword puzzles, crafting, sewing, quilting, cooking and lending a helping hand to her family. Francis and Yvonne enjoyed traveling and taking trips on their motorcycles. She loved every minute she spent with her family and especially spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her five children: Allen Collins and wife Christina of Bellflower, Roy Collins and wife Deborah of Springfield, Dennis Collins and wife Cindy of Salem, Sandi Schirmer of New Florence, and James Collins and wife Debbi of Silex; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and another on the way, 2 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Francis Collins, one son, Ray B. Collins on October 29, 1957, one brother, Charles Leonard and two sisters-in-law. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point MO 63349.
