Aloma June Hill, 71, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles. She was born on September 29, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of the late Margaret L. Moore. Aloma went on a blind date with Gerald “Jerry” Brown, in 1984 and she knew that man was the one. She worked as an assembly line worker for Borgward now known as Grief Industry and most recently co-owner and bartender of Shiners Corner in Wentzville and Shipley Hill in O’Fallon. Aloma enjoyed crocheting, sewing and listening to country music. She loved spending time with Jerry, and her family. Aloma had a great sense of humor and loved to have a good time. She was known for being a mother and grandmother to many and loved to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She is survived by her best friend and significant other of 33 years, Gerald “Jerry” Brown of St. Charles, MO; children, April Smith of Truesdale, MO and Scott McCardie of Briscoe, MO; grandchildren, Sommer Smith and Kellon McCardie; niece and nephew, Wade Shipley of Winfield, Mo and Sammie Joe Shipley of Cave Springs, MO; great-niece and great-nephews, Justin, Samantha and Cory; aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dewayne McCardie and one brother, Walter S. Shipley. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Home / Hawk Point Chapel, located at 41 Farm Lane in Hawk Point, MO 63349. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Home / Hawk Point Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Sammy Lorton.
