Annie Green Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Annie Green, 73, of Jarrell, Texas, formerly of Troy, Missouri passed away at her residence on November 27, 2016. Annie was born November 1, 1943 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to Herman Green, Sr. and Mary Louis Green, she was one of thirteen children. Annie was educated through the Troy R-III School District and attended several colleges earning her degree in: nursing, computer science and as a pharmacy technician. She taught school in Marietta, Georgia and Bartlett, Tennessee. She began working for the United States Government in 1968 and retired on May 31, 1999. Annie had 30 plus years of hard work and dedication, 3 of which included her time with the Army. She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters: Pam Green of St. Charles, MO and Audra Robinson of St. Peters, MO; two brothers: George Green and wife Annie of Winfield, MO and Jessie Green and wife Renee of Troy, MO; two sisters: Vera White and husband Louis of Troy, MO and Sandy Ray of Coppell, TX; one aunt: Minnie Cherry of MS; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, including five very close friends she worked with at the Pentagon: Katrina Robinson of Capitol Heights, MD, Willie Jeffeies of Richmond Hill, GA, Dwight Jones of Hyattsville, MD; Ivan Kelly of Delaware and Albert Johnson of Delaware. She was preceded in death by her parents: Herman, Sr. and Mary Louise Green; four brothers: Homer, Herman, Jr., Oscar, Benjamin and Charles; three sisters: Mary Walls, Lillie Ecford and Florence Green. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Troy City Cemetery.
