Arnelda Marie Bowers

Arnelda Marie Bowers, 90, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on February 15, 1931 in Lincoln County, Missouri the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Leona (Kowazek) Langenecker. She was united in marriage to Henry Bowers. Arnelda owned and operated a corner market in Troy called A&B Corner Market. In her earlier years she loved motorcycles. She was an active member of the Hawk Point Lions Club, who was always lending a helping hand at community events. Arnelda served her faith at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawk Point, MO. She enjoyed listening to country music. Arnelda was full of life and had a gentle smile that could light up a room. She is survived by her nephew, J.B. Langenecker of Silex, MO; one niece, Arnelda Marie Matalonis of St. Louis, MO; great-nieces: Patti Langenecker and Stacy Aldridge (Greg); great-great nephews: Graham and Garrison and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; parents: Joseph and Leona; three brothers: Edward, Garmley and Dene Langenecker and wife Gladys. Services will be held at a later date.
