Beverly Sue Matthews

Beverly Sue Matthews, 69, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. Beverly was born on August 24, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Charles Albert and Wilma Lavern (Alcorn) Price. Beverly graduated from Lindbergh High School in 1970. She worked various jobs over the years as a medical assistant for a podiatrist, a bus driver, a cook and in massage therapy. After retirement she spent most of her time restoring woodwork. Beverly was an amazing cook, who was always preparing meals for her family. She was known for her cookies, made with love. Beverly loved spending time with her family and caring for animals. She was always putting others needs before her own. She is survived by her children: Amanda Britton (Scott) of Lemay, MO, Jeffrey Matthews of Wentzville, MO, Jason Matthews (Katie Sommer) of Troy, MO and James Matthews (Lori Wilkenson) of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Marie Newcom (Terry); husband, Ronald Matthews of Moscow Mills, MO; one brother-n-law, Denny Disbrow; seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one sister, Mavis Disbrow. Family and friends will be received from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Celebration of life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, Missouri.
