Johnny Ray Tompkins, 62, of Silex, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 in Silex, Missouri. He was born on March 4, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of Melvin O. and Geneva (Davis) Tompkins. Johnny attended the Buchanan High School. He has been a truck driver his entire life, and recently worked for Cannon Builders. Johnny had a love for animals. He had a big heart and enjoyed his family. Johnny was full of life and had a contagious laugh. Johnny is survived by his two sisters and two brothers: Mark O. Tompkins and wife Donna of Middletown, MO, Calvin Tompkins and wife Mary of Middletown, MO, Janice Twellman of Moscow Mills, MO and Carol Wieman and husband Kevin of Troy, MO; former wife, Debbie Tompkins; two step-children: Reann and Jared Armstrong; special friend, Jenny; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends and his fur babies. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Melvin and Geneva Tompkins and one baby sister, Ester Marie Tompkins. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the Troy Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date in the Troy City Cemetery in Troy, Missouri.
