Joseph Earl Femmer, 87, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015. He was born on December 9, 1927 in Truxton to the late Fredrick and Bertha Femmer. Following service as a proud member of the US Marine Corp and graduating from Washington University, he began his career lead him to St. Louis and Louisville before landing in NW Arkansas. For six years he served Benton County, Arkansas as a Justice of the Peace. His interests ranged from hunting, theatre, music, playing bridge and cheering the Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. But he cherished the time he shared with his family. Survivors include his loving wife of more than 20 years, Mary Ballard Femmer of the home; his son, Brad (Lucy) Femmer of Hillsboro; his daughter, Rise Ann (Roger) Sieben of Wisconsin and three grandchildren, Anna (Jason) Burns of St. Louis, Elaine Femmer and A.J. Femmer all of Missouri. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the Zion Cemetery in Truxton, Missouri. Officiating the service will be Fr. John Keenoy.
