Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Pottebaum, 60, of Warrenton Missouri, fortified with sacraments of the holy mother church on Thursday, September 10, 2020 SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born on September 17, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of Jim and Patricia Ann (Gronemeyer) Achenbach. She was united in marriage to Chris A. Pottebaum, Sr. on October 12, 1979 and to this union five children were born. Kathy attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School and graduated from Warren County R-III School District. She worked various jobs as a childcare provider. Kathy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Kathy loved working with and helping children. She was a 4-H Leader for over 22 years, where her and her children were members of the County Crossroads 4-H Club. While serving on various committees and being a project leader, she was inducted into the 2019 4-H Hall of Fame. Kathy was a 1st and 2nd grade PSR Teacher for the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was an active member. She was a very generous woman, who would put others needs before her own. Kathy took great pride in caring for her family and the memories they made together. She is survived by her loving husband, Chris Pottebaum, Sr. of Warrenton, MO; mother, Patricia Hull of Warrenton, MO; two daughters and three sons: Miranda Gibbons of Foley, MO, Christopher Pottebaum, Jr. of Warrenton, MO, Ashlee Voskamp (Adam) of Mt. Vernon, MO, Chaz Pottebaum (Ashleigh) of Warrenton, MO and Jason Gunckel (Shannon) of Warrenton, MO; three sisters and one brother: Karen Mora of Warrenton, MO, Phyllis Myers (Howard) of Warrenton, MO, Karla Hull of Warrenton, MO and Jim Achenbach (Cara) of Augusta, MO;one aunt Mary Fransen (Paul) of IA; grandchildren: Harmony Lynn, Hope Ann and Elie Rose Pottebaum, Braydon Charles and Brinley Sue Ann Pottebaum , Dehilia Grace Gibbons, Judd Tomas-Bruce Voskamp and Marissa, Damien, Jayne, Jaymee and Jaysen Gunckel; brother-in-law, Harold Pottebaum, Jr. (Sharon) of Mineola, MO; sister-in-law, Mary Kay Johnson (Bill) of Warrenton, MO; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving father, Roswell “Sorg” Hull, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Elsie May and Harold C. Pottebaum, Sr., one brother, Thomas “Skipper” Hull, granddaughter, Emellia “Emmie” Faith Gibbons. Family and friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 41 Farm Lane Hawk Point, MO 63349. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 724 E Main St, Warrenton, MO 63383. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton, MO. Interment will be held at Lippstadt Cemetery in Warrenton, Missouri.
