July 22, 1933 - April 23, 2022

Margaret “Maggie” J. Green, 88, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at her residence in Wentzville, Missouri. She was born on July 22, 1933 in Troy, Missouri, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Webster. She was united in marriage to Herman Green, Jr. on August 22, 1959 and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2012. Maggie was a homemaker. She had a larger than life personality and was always on the go. Maggie was very social and liked to try her luck at cards and playing bingo every Friday night. You always knew where you stood with her and she kept life going when times got tough. She liked to shop at resale shops and enjoyed her cowboys. Her contagious smile and laugh could fill up a room. Maggie is survived by one daughter, Jo Young of Wentzville, MO; one brother, Junior Higgins; three grandchildren: Kim, Sherry and Tommy; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Vera White and husband Louis of Troy, MO and Sandy Ray of Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Webster; her husband, Herman Green, Jr.; one grandson, Terry “Boat” William Young in 2006, two sisters: June Bradshaw and Marion Ruth Matthews; brothers-in-law: Homer Green, Charlie Green, Oscar Green, Jessie Green George Green and Ben Green; sisters-in-law: Florence Green, Lillie Ecford, Mary Walls and Annie Green.
