Mildred Viola Turner

September 20, 1936 - May 17, 2022

Mildred Viola Turner, 85, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at SSM St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri. She was born on September 20, 1936 in Montgomery, Missouri, and the daughter of Wesley and Mable G. (Reesor) Preston. Mildred was united in marriage to Charles F. Turner on March 10, 1955 in Old Alexandria Church and to this union six children were born. Mildred graduated from Old Creech School in 1954. She was a CNA for many years and was still working for the Four Seasons in Moscow Mills, MO. Mildred liked to crochet, making baby blankets and towels. She enjoyed baking and was known for her bread made with love. Mildred was always up for trying her luck at the casino and scratch offs. She enjoyed fishing with her family and finding a good sale at resale shops. Mildred was a collector of many things. She was a loving, generous lady, who was always giving to others. She was at times stubborn, hardheaded and full of life. Mildred spoiled the grandchildren and great-grandchildren every chance she got. Mildred is survived by two daughters and three sons: Carolyn Johnson and husband Jim of Troy, MO, Richard Turner and wife Christina of Elsberry, MO, Charles Turner of Fenton, Sharon Dreisewerd and husband Scott of Meadville, MO and John Turner and wife Rhonda of Warrenton, MO; twenty-two grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and her adopted family at the Four Seasons. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Mable Preston, husband, Charles F. Turner, one daughter, Charla Jo Turner; four grandchildren: Ryan, Jordan, McKenna, Alicia and one great-grandson, C.J. Johnson. Family and friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO. Internment will be held at the Old Alexandria Cemetery in Troy, Missouri.
