Rosemary Schaper

July 18, 1934 - October 19, 2020

Rosemary Schaper, 86, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2020 in Troy, Missouri. She was born on July 18, 1934 in Franklin County, Missouri, a daughter of the late Julius and Adolphine Kappelmann. She was united in marriage to Lester Schaper on May 3, 1956 in Washington, Missouri and to this union two daughters and two sons were born. He preceded her in death in 2008. Rosemary attended St. Francis Borgia High School. She was a homemaker and she took pride in taking care of her family. In earlier years she was always running kids to activities and mowing grass. Rosemary couldn’t pass up a good yard sale and she always enjoyed a good book. She was an avid coffee drinker and liked her sweets. Rosemary enjoyed crocheting making various items with love. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years. She is survived by two daughters: Debbie Broyles and husband John of Hawk Point, MO and Carol Foley and husband Shawn of Champaign, IL; four grandchildren: Jessica Boedeker (Jason), Megan Lavy (Steven), Jenna Cech (Neil) and Katie Carriere (Chris); six great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth Ann Thater, two sisters-in-law, Gloria Kappelmann and Dorothy Schaper; special friends: Barb and Gene Kautz; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester, two sons: Jerry and Jeffrey Schaper, two brothers: Alfred Kappelmann and Victor Kappelmann (Betty), two brothers-in-law: Harold and Delmer Schaper. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Kemper-Millard-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Pets Alone Sanctuary or Masses in care of KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 222 Troy, MO 63379. Arrangements are under the direction of KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel; 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379.
