Ruth Ann Dillard

February 13, 1943 - November 2, 2014

Ruth Ann Dillard, 71, of Troy, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, after a long battle to cancer. She was born on February 13, 1943 in Alton, Illinois, a daughter of the late Roy and Fredricka (Schrader) Davis. She was united in marriage to Terry Dillard on July 24, 2010 in St. Peters, Missouri. Ruth Ann worked as a janitor for several years, at the St. Charles County Sheriff’s Department and several School Districts. Her and Terry met through mutual friends and started dating in 2009 and it was all history from there. They loved spending time together going to the Wentzville Flea Market and their Sunday morning breakfast at the West Allen Grill in Wentzville. Ruth Ann enjoyed crafting and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Terry and Ruth Ann would donate Easter baskets and adopt families every year around the holidays. She had a heart of gold and tried to help everyone. Ruth Ann loved cooking and baking, her specialties were chicken-n-dumplings, chili, cookies and strudels. She loved to talk on her cell phone, to family and friends to keep up with current events in their lives. She is survived by her loving husband, Terry Dillard of Troy; children, Rita Smith and husband, Pat of St. Peters, Cheryl Goshen and husband, David of Fairview Heights, Il, Jeff Meyers and wife, Lisa of Troy, Allen Meyers and wife, Bonnie of Wright City and Janet DuBuque of Wright City; step-children, Angela Dillard of Dallas Fort Worth, TX and Ashley Dillard of Dallas Fort Worth, TX; siblings, Henry Davis and wife, Bernice, Margaret Orf, Carl Davis and wife, Deloris, Elmer Davis and Sandra Martin and husband, Woodrow; grandchildren, Stephanie, Erika, Amanda, Danielle, Jerry, Samantha, Jeffery, Jr, Carrie, Brian, Leslie, Amber, Aaron and Ashley; thirty-two great-grandchildren, her beloved dogs, Pickles and Cream Puff; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-in-law, George DuBuque; step-son, Terry Dillard, Jr.; siblings, Freddy, Alice, Leroy, Dora, Mary and Betty; brother-in-laws and sister-in-law. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at the KEMPER-MILLARD-KEIM FUNERAL HOME/ Troy Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
