Sandra "Kay" Campbell Zappe

Sandra “Kay” Campbell Zappe, 76, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Atria Westchase in Houston, Texas. She was born November 16, 1942, in Troy, Missouri, the daughter of William and Pauline (Brown) Campbell. Kay graduated from Troy Buchanan High and continued her education at Texas Christian University where she was a sorority sister at Delta Gamma. She worked in various capacities over the years including as a buyer for Foley’s Department Store, a teacher for Bethlehem Business College and in advertising for Cineplex Theaters. Upon her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the local hospital in the gift shop as well as teaching art classes at the local elementary school. Kay was an artistic painter and enjoyed playing the piano. She took great pride in sewing throw pillows and dolls, but most important she enjoyed her family. She is survived by her daughter and son: Kristin Hopper and husband Tim and Eric Zappe and wife Catherine all of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren: Matthew, Katie, and Jack Hopper, and Eli Zappe; as well as an extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
