Sheri Lynn Smith

Sheri Lynn Smith, 63, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born on July 12, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Paul and Loretta (O’Dell) Daugherty. Sheri was united in marriage to Gailen Smith on November 14, 1981 in Troy, Missouri and to this union four daughters and two sons were born. Sheri retired after 20 years of dedication at Walmart as a cashier. She was a natural artist who liked drawing. Sheri enjoyed crocheting, blankets and scarves for her family and friends. She had a lot of love to give and it showed with the time she spent with her family. Sheri valued the time she spent spoiling her grandchildren. She was the kindest, sweetest, smartest, outgoing person, who would always greet you with a smile. Sheri is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gailen Smith; four daughters and one son: Christina Becraft (Donald), Jennifer Trent, Garrett Smith (Victoria Lynn Foster), Coty Smith (Charles Tucker) and Kaitlyn Smith (Nathan O’Neil); one brother and one sister: Paula Daugherty and Kim Daugherty; ten grandchildren: Ashley, Jordan, Haylea, Noah, Sydney, Jaiden, Caleb, Madison, Nalani and Amoriana; one great-grandchild, Oaklea; nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Clifford Smith. Services will be held at a later date.
