Shirley Ann Starz, age 83, loving mother, and wonderful friend to everyone passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 quietly at home. Shirley was born July 9, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edwin and Helen (Weigel) Holle. Shirley was a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to care for her family. She was married to Walter Adolph Starz Jr. on March 24th, 1961 at the Zion Lutheran Church in St. Louis, Missouri. Shirley and Walter had one son, Walter Edwin Starz in November of 1967. Shirley graduated from Beaumont High School in 1956 and continued her education at Miss Hickey Business College. She worked at Boatman’s Bank for 11 years only leaving to devote her time to her new son and family. She loved working in her yard and garden and took so much pride in taking care of her beautiful home and garden built for her by her loving husband and family. She is survived by her one Son, Walter and his wife Anjie of Troy, MO; one sister Virginia “Ginger” Denier of Hillsboro, MO; one nephew, Robert Denier and many cherished and loved friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Edwin and Helen Holle, her husband, Walter Adolph Starz Jr., one sister, Helen Holle and one nephew, Martin Denier. Family and friends will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street, Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO. Officiating the service will be Pastor Gary McCracken. Internment will be held at the Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
