Victor Stieben, Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Victor Stieben, Sr., 88, of Moscow Mills, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012, at his residence in Moscow Mills, Missouri. He was born on May 15, 1924 in Flint, Michigan, son of the late Adam and Eva Stieben. He married Lillian Hinton on January 14, 1944, at the Courthouse in St. Louis, Missouri. To this union five children were born. Victor graduated high school from Flint Michigan in 1943 and entered the Army Air Force and was honorably discharged. He worked at Brittan Funeral Home in Potosi, was self employed, owning a shoe repair shop and then worked on the Ambulance as an EMT in Elsberry and Troy, where he retired. Victor was an ordained minister for many years and preached at the Church of Nazarene in Potosi, Missouri. He enjoyed fishing on his pontoon boat and building and flying air planes with his children. Victor was a very loving, caring man, who would lend a helping hand to anyone, was an all around good guy and will be deeply missed by his family. Victor is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Lillian Stieben of Moscow Mills, Missouri; five children: Victor “Bill” Stieben of Winfield, Missouri, Kenneth Stieben of Moscow Mills, Missouri, Linda Malensky and husband, Bernie of St. Peters, Missouri, Betty Drake and husband, Charlie of Houston, Texas and Mary Bell and husband, Ken of Wentzville, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at KEMPER-MARSH-MILLARD Family Funeral Home / TROY Chapel.
