Donald Dean Jensen

Donald Dean Jensen, 75 of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at The Boulevard Senior Living in Wentzville, Missouri. He was born on February 16, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, was the son of Howard and Ruth Helen (Donigan) Jensen. Don was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ernestine Bond, on September 24, 1988, in Lake Tahoe, Nevada and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2013. Don graduated from Ritenour High School and continued his education as a meatcutter. He retired after several years of dedication with Schnucks in the meat department. Don spent his entire life in the grocery business. During his retirement, you could find him working at his daughter’s specialty food store, the Mississippi Marketplace, in Hannibal, Missouri. He looked forward to the Thursdays he spent hanging out at the store and the people he met along the way. Don loved bass fishing and participating in tournaments. He spent many hours on the Lake of the Ozarks, with his close friends and his wife, Ernestine. Don was a regular at Zadocks Restaurant for breakfast. He liked having social hour with friends and grabbing dinner at Hobos. Don was a quiet, simple man and would do anything for anyone. Don is survived by his daughters: Linda Studer of Shelbina, MO and Judi Hustermann of Troy, MO; grandchildren: Tiffany McGraw and husband Ben, Lindsay Smith and husband Jason, Ryan Hustermann and wife Amy, Michael Studer and wife Anna, Courtney Roslien and husband Michael and Lauren Jackson and husband Adam; fifteen great-grandchildren: Morgan, Aubrey, Jonathan, Kaden, Paislee, Addison, Hudson, Emmett, Logan, Harper, Harlie, Logan, Olivia, Lane and Isabelle; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth Jensen, one brother, Kurt Jensen and two sons-in-law: Billy Eckard and Richard Studer. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2026 at Thornhill Cemetery in Troy, MO.
