Doris Sue Wiemann

Doris Sue Wiemann, 90, of Troy, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield. She was born on August 14, 1931 in Troy and was the daughter of the late Claud and Lucille (Harrell) Lavy. Doris married the love of her life, Harris E. Wiemann on Nov. 18, 1951 at the Zion United Church of Christ in Troy and to this union one son, Kim, was born. Doris graduated from Buchanan High in 1949. She worked in various occupations at different times in her life but primarily viewed her role as wife, mother, and then Nana and Great Nana as her highest calling. Throughout their lives together, Doris and Harris spent much time gardening, attending church and traveling to many sporting events for their beloved grandsons. Their reunion was surely a beautiful one in Heaven. Doris enjoyed birdwatching out of the windows of her beautiful homes, three of which were constructed by Kim, two with the help of Harris. She was a talented artist and could be found painting or sewing a new creation to share as gifts with her loved ones. An avid storyteller, Doris loved sharing her family history and childhood memories. A strong woman of faith, Doris spent a great amount of time studying the Bible. She loved to share her favorite scriptures with her family, friends and even those who were lost in their faith with the desire to disciple more to the Lord to experience true salvation. She is survived by her son, Kim E. Wiemann and wife Natalie of Troy; three grandsons: Shea Wiemann and wife Abby of Troy, Corey Wiemann and wife Kelly of Columbia, and Connor Wiemann and Ceara Kirkpatrick of Webster Groves; five great grandsons: Finley, Everett, Harrison, Isaiah and Hudson; one sweet pup Jiggs; grand pups: Duke, Margo, Wally, Sophie and Brady; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harris E. Wiemann, her parents and her siblings: Elwood Lavy, Dazerine (Lavy) Tillman, Camille (Lavy) Peasel, and Gerald (Bud) Lavy. Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Kemper-Keim Funeral Chapel.
