Helen Elizabeth Collins

Helen Elizabeth Collins, 90, of Troy, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Warrenton Manor in Warrenton, Missouri. She was born on August 14, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri and the daughter of the late John and Rachel (Todd) Richardson. Helen was united in marriage to Earl Laverne Collins on June 2, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2016. To this union six children were born. Helen worked for Gambles Department Store for many years. She was primarily a homemaker and taking care of her family was her top priority in life. Helen was an amazing cook and was known for her fried chicken. She enjoyed embroidering and was a talented seamstress. In her earlier years she enjoyed traveling with her family. Helen took pride caring for the Wilson Cemetery with her husband Earl. She was a member of the New Fellowship Baptist Church and was recently attending Christ Center Church. Helen enjoyed playing a family game of volleyball or even just watching her family making memories. She loved her family and her faith. Helen is survived by Judy Collins of Troy, MO, Janice Lashley and husband Kelvin of Wright City, MO and Earline Murphy of Troy, MO; one son, Dale Collins and wife Nancy of Lake Saint, MO; grandchildren: Tishia Dowell, Kelly Shephard, Jennifer (Bill) Wilman, Joshua Graves, Lance (Kathy) Graves, Jody (Aimee) Newcomb, Jacob (Lisa) Lashley, Patrick (Emily) Murphy, Eric (Kayla) Murphy, Chad (Kelly) Collins, Ted Collins and Rusty (Whitney) Collins; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Christina Collins, one son, Ted Collins, siblings: John Richardson, Joe Richardson, Gene Richardson, Mary Demond, Martha Wagner, Sol Richardson and Ted Richardson. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, Missouri. Interment will be held at the Wilson Cemetery in Troy, MO.
