Jack Eugene Ramsey

Jack Eugene Ramsey, 89, of Olney, Missouri, passed away at his residence surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Olney, Missouri. He was born on October 19, 1936, in Marion, Illinois, and was the son of the late Russell Wiley and Dora (Mazzuchelli) Ramsey. Jack married the love of his life on April 26, 1958, at the Olney Methodist Church, and to this union four daughters and two sons were born. Jack graduated from Herculaneum High School and continued his education. He started as a young man working at a turkey farm. Jack then went to work as a Mechanical Engineer with McDonnell Douglas Aircraft/ Boeing and retired after 43 years of dedication. He worked on several big projects, including the F15 Jet, Gemini Simulator, C5, Mercury and the Manned Spacecraft Center. Jack was a member of the Olney Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing at his pond and playing a good game of golf. Jack told some of the best stories and was known for giving the grandbabies ice cream. He blessed his family with a couple of once-in-a-lifetime trips, and he loved the memories they made along the way. Jack was a kind, gentle, generous, loving man who would always be there when you needed him. He was stubborn at times but found humor in the simplest things and knew all the bad dad jokes. Jack left a positive impact on many people's lives over the years and encouraged them to be better people. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Ramsey; five children: Debbie Weist (Brian), Laurie Wallace (Kevin), Jack Ramsey, Jr. (Joyce), Patty Biggs (Dan) and David Ramsey; sister, Sherry Hansen; grandchildren: Mary, Karen, Anne, Ben, Tiffany, Jason, Jonathon, Maggie, William and Ronnie; great-grandchildren: Richard, Thomas, Connor, Vickie, Madison, Johnny, Admira, Rayne, Cameron, Rafael and Sofia; one son-in-law, Scott Webster, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell Wiley and Dora (Mazzuchelli) Ramsey; one daughter, Cheryl D. Webster, siblings: Carol Bourisaw, Russell Ramsey, Jr., Richard Ramsey, Sandra Lohman and Kenneth Ramsey, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Family and friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at KEMPER-KEIM Family Funeral Chapel located at 351 Monroe Street Troy, MO 63379. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at Kemper-Keim Family Funeral Chapel in Troy, MO. Officiating the service will be Pastor Jack Gillespie.
